Robert BlauA team from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), headed by its Vice President Robert Blau, will be in Cabo Verde November 26-29 to participate in the closing activities of the second Millennium Challenge Account Cape Verde Compact, to visit projects funded under the Program and meet Caboverdean authorities, namely the Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva. As part of this visit the MCC Delegation intends to become acquainted with the second Compact implementation process and celebrate with the local authorities the results of the 12-year partnership between the Government of Cabo Verde and the MCC.

On November 27, at 10:00 a.m., the delegation will pay a visit to the acting Mayor of São Vicente, Lídia Lima.

At 10:30 am, a visit is also planned to the intervention areas of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Project - WASH as well as the communities benefited by Infrastructure Grant facility- FASA and the Social Access Fund - FAS, in the localities of Chã de Vital and Fonte Francés, on the island of São Vicente, for contacts with beneficiary families.

On the same day at 3:00 pm, the delegation will be visiting the localities of Ribeira de Calhau, Calhau and Norte de Baía, the intervention areas of the Land Management for Investment -LAND, within the framework of Land Registry Operation on this island.

On November 29, the delegation will be participating in the inauguration of the works for  extension of the water network from Praia to São Domingos and at the final closing ceremony of the second Compact that will take place at the Palácio do Governo from 4:00 p.m.
